Carrytrainer.com exists to remind people that we are all our own cavalry, we must be prepared to ride in to effect our own rescue. Be it an attack, car wreck, life threatening illness or poverty; we need to develop the "stuff" to get it done.
Seldom in life when things go sideways is a cop, fireman or doctor sitting by to bail you out. While we need those people, 99 times out of 100 we don't have that luxury of being near one at the moment of distress. Self-protection is not having a weapon, a first aid kit or ninja hands, it is a mindset and a philosophy. We believe we can make our world a better place by instilling the notion of personal-responsibility and self reliance into our youth, students and most importantly ourselves. When we lift ourselves up, we are elevated to see above the junk and clutter and can in turn lift up a brother, a friend or a stranger in need.

Too often, we are only concerned with the loud noises part of shooting. What happens before, and after is also important. In fields such as medicine, aviation, engineering, construction and cooking, we humans have developed systems to get a good result. We want to win in violence, or avoid it. Let's train accordingly. I appreciate you. -Mickey

Snubby Revolvers, Any Good?
Просмотров 7 тыс.Месяц назад
Snubnose Revolvers can be a very good tool, provided you do your part to train and gain proficiency with them. By and large, I'd say they are not for a new shooter and even some intermediate level shooters. They are unforgiving with grip and trigger deficiencies . My suggestion is to learn to shoot full sized handguns well, including a sound grip and trigger press. It's not that a newer or less...

I was going to order a dryfire mag and there are 2 options with a spring and without. What is the difference in using it ?
Lil Hawk tuah!! Gold
I made Master in USPSA in 4 months dryfiring every night and watching free RUclips videos. Just go practice. You'll fail, learn, grow. You don't need to pay 600 bucks for tactical bs. Run, fight, hide. Nope. Speed and accuracy are king.
Shooting is shooting. Tactics is something else altogether. The raw skill of Marksmanship is a singular skillset. It's not everything. Well done with your training and skill building.
I love this guy. Fresh content and very articulate.
Thanks homie

Lets not forget that the secret service pointed a rifle at trump lol
My honest opinion, I don’t mind having a round in the chamber if I’m Open carry, but I usually conceal write down the front of my pants I have a Glock 43, which puts the barrel directly on top of my right testicle or directly on my little friend depending how I’m sitting, when I Concealed carry I never keep one in the chamber I get horrifying thoughts of the thought of it going off even though I know the chances are Never it’s just a thing I can’t get over
I was one who saw the edited version and thought here we go again. The white lady actually cut her some slack. She could have lost her life trying to be a black Karen.
What's your thought about 6mm arc?
I like this concept. I learnt it from an instructor I took a couple of defensive shooting classes back in 2007 and just a few days ago I was just thinking it was a good idea to add this to our IDPA´s group tranning sessions.
Great stuff. Thanks for the information. 👍
Rifles are like women, keep them clean keep them wet.
Shit people will sue you if you hit them with pepper spray just stay away from all people.
From a 79 year old two thumbs up.
Wait…your long socks make you a Fudd? My kids tell me my ankle socks let everybody know I was born last century. 😂 can’t make everybody happy I guess.
yes they are we are not in army there are diff. things to do not give bunch of money to some guy saying bunch of phrases that sound tactical lol comon knolage and wisdom of God is all we need
Mickey you are a brilliant teacher.

Is the culprit of discomfort a function of acceleration, or the second derivative of projectile velocity called Jerk? or both? Specifically, will a 4" barrel of 9mm parabellum caliber shooting 115 gr full metal jacket ammo 1190 fps 362 ft-lb energy at muzzle cause more discomfort than a 147 grain Hdy XTP at subsonic 975 fps and 310 ft-lbs at muzzle? Do you have a source for pistol recoil discomfort? I am trying to decide which has less discomfort from recoil for the same firearm?
33 minute video to oil a gun. Just shut up and get to the damn point.
Ya see, the doe just popped out so close he thought he could take her with his Model 29, that's a .44 Magnum revolver for those who are unfamiliar. After drawing a bead on her, he thought, nah, I better take her with the shotgun. So he drew down on her with the 12ga & squeezed the trigger with his middle finger, without ever holstering the revolver. And that's how my dad damn near blew half of his left hand off. Or so it's told. I'll never forget, a couple weeks after his reconstructive surgery, as he gazed at the pins protruding through his fingertips, he proclaimed "Well, I guess my golf game will never be the same." 2 nevers came from this. Never has he played a single round of golf since and, thankfully, never has he done anything so pho-king stupid, reckless and irresponsible with a firearm.
There are times to carry with one in the chamber. I always do with a revolver. With a semi auto there are times to carry without a magazine. There are times when I've been glad I didn't have a gun at all. And there are times when I've been damn glad I had a shotgun stuffed full of buckshot. Or my 30 30 with a full magazine .Peace.
This is a great no nonsense honest down to the root basics video. I dig it!!!. New subscriber here!!
Thanks for the sub!
They hav the right to defend themselves
I'm a new shooter. What is the purpose of press checking after cycling the slide (to chamber a round)?
I've done numerous videos on this topic. First, this is from an administrative loading standpoint. Verification of chamber condition. 2. It's a additional mechanism to ensure success. I'll do a new video
It’s an “industry”…. Of course they prop themselves up. It’s self gratifying.

Is there a difference between anti seize and grease?
Yes quite a bit of difference. Grease and anti-seize are popular options for industrial assembly processes. Yet while they both aid in end-product functionality and durability, it’s important to understand their distinct differences. Grease Ideal for fast-moving, low load applications, grease is formulated with a base oil and a thickener. Containing no solids or low solids, grease enables parts, such as high-speed automotive ball bearings, to move rapidly without making contact. However, grease alone is not suitable for extremely high load and/or very high temperature applications. This is because the oil burns off around 400°F, and its film is not strong enough to hold against pressure from asperity contact. Anti-Seize Designed to convert torque to tightening force more efficiently, anti-seize is formulated with high solids content and a carrier grease. Because of its high solids content, anti-seize can handle high load applications while still providing lubrication and friction reduction. However, anti-seize is not suitable for fast-moving applications, as its high solids content can cause parts to jam. Yet unlike grease, the solid lubricant in anti-seize can withstand high temperatures and protect parts from galling and seizure even under extremely stressful environments. This makes it ideal for many nut, bolt and press fit applications.
That's good stuff. I do the same thing but just bring a roll of painters tape. Any way it's done the principle is sound
I’ve always thought of you as a revolutionary and a real bad ass. Thanks for being our rock during these wild times.
Only holsters I'd trust , Tenicult🤌🏾
My father was captured by the Germans forces for two years and he found a way out so he and his buddy Tump escaped later that night and they ran half way across Europe lol so they found a barn and they killed a chicken and they didn’t bother to pull out the feathers so they just threw it in the fire because they were so hungry and afraid they cooked it at night so the smoke couldn’t be seen! The ran into a French soldier who helped them out of the zone and into the American border on the battle field!!😊
I thought you never oil your guns
Pocket carry with no holster
Dude, I'm so glad I found your channel.
Me too!
Done with what? You've posted 7 videos since this one.
Clearly you missed the blatant sarcasm
Micky,.you are quickly becoming one of two channels that I click like before even watching the video. The other is Paul Harrel. You present such solid information , in a real world approach. Love the videos and appreciate the hard work that goes into being a one person crew. Thank you!!!
Wow, thanks!
Nailed it.

omg people are so stupid. She was trying to walk away
Awesome instruction as always Mick. You're one of the best out there friend.
I'm a student AND instructor as well. This is the first time hearing ANY instructor say that "if you don't train with the best names in the industry, you're wasting your time". That's simply not true in my opinion. Like you said, set standards and expextations for yourself, get good info from good resources (like you) and start your journey
I have sat through many a discussion as well as seen and read many times people spout on such things.

His dumb ass is doing that on purpose that shit never happen to me before but I def can do what he’s doing on purpose very easily with my g2c
hey mick what appendix holster are you using for this video?
@darkstargear
The problem i see here is that theres a discrepancies with it. Like if they know people travel with firearms which they do because there are polices about it then why are people so uneducated about it. If your going to be checking the luggage and have ti be reminded by the citizen who doesnt even work at the airport what the policy on it is then thats a problem in and of its self. And until that changes there will continue to be issues.
“I was shot by my own pistol! So my Sig P320 was in my holster…….” “Whoa. Stop. No story needed.” Easy fellas. It’s just a dumb joke. 😂
I highly recommend a solid zero (incl loctite) for this one.
